CCHS Drama Trip to Scotland’s Fringe Festival 2008

Concord-Carlilse High School (CCHS) has been chosen as one of a small number of US high school theatre programs to participate in the American High School Theatre Festival at the world's largest performing arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in August, 2008. The AHSTF receives nominations of the nation's top high school theatre programs from state, regional, and national theatre organizations and university theatre faculty. Each nominated school completes a comprehensive application which is reviewed by the AHSTF Board of Advisors, a panel of college and theatre professionals from all corners of the country. Top high school programs are identified based on their most recent bodies of work, awards, community involvement, philosophies, and recommendations. To promote diverse participation, AHSTF does not allow schools to participate in back-to-back years. The selected schools are notified in the spring of each year, allowing them more than a full year to plan their once-in-a-lifetime performance on AHSTF's world stage.
